The A7V was the only German-designed tank to see combat during the Great War. Introduced in 1918, it weighed around 30 tons and was crewed by 18 (sometimes more).

The tank’s armour ranged from 15mm (sides and rear) to 30mm (front), offering good protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. Although it had a top speed of 6 mph on the flat it was prone to mechanical issues, especially in rough or muddy terrain.

Ultimately, only 20 A7V tanks were produced, limiting their impact on the battlefield. The A7V’s most famous action occurred during the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux in April 1918, where it participated in the first-ever tank-on-tank combat against British Mark IV tanks.

Consists of one physical German A7V Heavy Tank model. The kit includes:

  • 2x main gun variants (pedestal or trestle mount)
  • 3x crew figures
  • 4x crew heads (including splash masks)
