Trenches are one of the most enduring legacies of the First World War. Beginning in 1914, these defensive emplacements began as little more than just a muddy slit-trench, but as the war progressed on the Western Front, these became more elaborate, with dugouts, fire steps and emplacements, placed in a zig-zag pattern stretching for miles and miles. By 1918, trenches had withstood almost all of the ferocious tools of war deployed by the warring nations, and defence-in-depth tactics had further enhanced their use.

This set contains one FDM-printed traverse section for our modular trench section, inspired by the German 'D' style of traverse found throughout the Western Front.
