Product Description
Like its German and French counterparts, the Burns used a ‘cup discharger’ system to lob a grenade out to around 200 metres with a decent degree of accuracy. Its role was to pin down enemy soldiers and weaken defensive positions with indirect fire. However, if the need arose, rifle grenadiers could quickly switch role and function as ordinary riflemen, adding to their versatility on the battlefield.
Consists of 7 miniatures for 1918:
- 1x Corporal with Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE).
- 2x Grenadiers with Burns Rifle Grenade Dischargers
- 4x Bomb carriers/riflemen with Short Magazine Lee Enfields (SMLEs).
